Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song while onboard the ship that took us to Anarctica. We had a passenger and crew show on our second to last night on the boat and I borrowed a guitar and sang it for the show.

Antarctic Reflections
Words and Music by Dan Haraburda 2/28/2007
Antarctica is calling me, Antarctica is calling me
Antarctica is calling me, Antarctica is calling me
Left Ushuaia late at night
Bound for the land of snow and ice
Cape Horn on the left
The Drake Straight ahead
800 miles of wind and wave
We did cross to reach the Shetlands
Mountains rising from the sea
Did greet us there
Antarctica is calling me, Antarctica is calling me
Whalers, Sealers, fame seekers
All we drawn to this unforgiving land
Driven by a burning need
Held deep within
Shackleton, Amundsen
Scott and Hurley Came this way
Two of them are buried
Antarctica is calling me, Antarctica is calling me
The albatross he followed us
The whale she swam along beside us
Fur seals nipped at our heels
Penguins communed
Now we headed home again
We've seen the scenes. We rode the waves
We bid farewell to Antarctica
Antarctica is calling me, Antarctica is calling me
Antarctica is calling me, Antarctica is calling me
